Managed Services - Business ContinuityThe Data Centre
There has been a considerable investment in building a second state-of-the-art facility in a convenient location in the Midlands, minutes from the M1 to ensure the right environment for hosting a disaster recovery service.
The data centre offers the latest technology in security and resiliencies, meaning that the services you want are available when you need them with flexible packages and options.
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) N+1
In the event of a mains power failure the UPS seamlessly takes over to make sure power there is a consistent source of power. The UPS also filters the supply taking out spikes to ensure a clean source of power.
Generator
The 3x 800kVA Generator (N+1) backs up the UPS in the unlikely event of a prolonged mains power failure. The generator is diesel driven and there are contracts in place with suppliers to make sure the generator keeps going.
FM200 Fire Suppression System
Fire protection is provided by the Fire Suppression System which fills the sealed data centre with gas to extinguish any fire quickly without the use of water which would cause wider damage to equipment.
Climate Control
The data centre is fully climate controlled with N+1 Stultz DX Cybercool Air Conditioning Systems. The system monitors and controls the temperature and humidity levels.
CCTV & Intruder Alarms
The data centre is monitored by CCTV both externally and internally. All CCTV images are recorded and stored for 3 months.
Secure Fob Access
There are two locking doors to go through for access to each of the separate data halls within DC2. These are locked and can only be opened using Secure Fobs which
are only held by named staff. Individual locking racks are available.
Secure Fence
The building is surrounded by an 8 foot perimeter fence. Gates are locked outside normal business hours.
